Participating Florverde® Farms
To date, 137 companies representing 167 farms participate in Florverde®.
Of those, more than half are certified as of 2006, and the remaining are
in the process of being certified. In order to be certified Florverde®,
farms must comply with all compulsory standards, including operational
and social guidelines prior to receiving certification. Therefore, the
process can take up to a year or more to achieve full compliance and become
certified. As the number of Florverde®-certified farms continues to
grow, the social programs positively impact and strengthen community infrastructures
and the quality of Colombian products is improved.
